Genshiken and Kujibiki Unbalance up

I got on a bit of a Genshiken kick this last week. Genshiken, 'The society for the study of modern visual culture' is a comedy series about Otaku and the women that love them. *lol* The main character Saki is a nice young lady who's boyfriend is a otaku, meaning she's stuck coping with his friends. It tends to be VERY funny, and I think most western anime fans will get the jokes.

Kujibiki Unballance started out as a 'joke' anime featured in Genshiken, then evolved into it's own series. It's a bit of a cliche ridden series (mecha, ninjas, magical girl, so on and so forth) but it has some cannon yuri and makes for a fun view.

Genshiken I liked becuase it was more true to life than some anime series I've seen before. The interaction and realationships and friendships that grow thru the series and how they helped each other in thier own unique and slightly akward ways. Kujibiki not so much, I didn't find it as riveting as genshiken. I only found it semi enjoyable due to the realtion it had to genshiken. Hope you got your "Official Genshiken Book" on pre-order I got two just in cas I wanted to well take the poster and the "Otaku Commandments" out for framing for the office.

I liked Genshiken and I liked Kujibiki Unbalance but I liked the 3 ova ones better then the 2006 series. I can't remember if I knew you were on here or not. I will have to read those when I get time. I read your Sailor Moon stuff on ff.net
