btw, I discovered why people consider the two little girls from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni to be lesbians. They both live in the same apartment together and never seem to be apart, also cling to each other at times. Not much shoujo-ai considering they don't show much character development whatsoever, but they are cute that is for sure.

There's a certain degree of yuri-shipper that will assume any clingy pair are a couple.

By the look of the second season there is more to the relationship then just being clingy. They show things through the eyes of the two girls and it may not be love but they do say, "You are precious to me." and another scene in which Rina is feeding Sakoto in a cute manner and the fact that when Satoko is in the hospital, unconscious, it is hearing Rina's name that makes her respond, nothing else. So there might be more too this. The interesting thing is the way the story is told it would be rather easy to create a fanfic because it deals with several weeks repeating themselves over and over again so in one of those possible realities Rina could confess her love, the only problem is that every possible reality ends badly, until the final one. That is the twist of this unusual story.

Well sorry to ramble.

Well, I've seen the ending now and there is a lot more that points to not just those two girls, but a third girl even, which is shown sharing the same bed as one of the girls later. I can see why people have paired these girls up for the writers really left it open to that possibility. It was really worth watching through to the end.
